History

In June 1972, MBC President Bill Berg opened Maryland Blueprint in a small one-room shop in Arbutus, Maryland. Our first offerings included diazo reproduction services and supplies sales.

Over the next three years, as our expanding staff and range of services outgrew offices in Baltimore and Hanover, Maryland Blueprint moved, in 1975, to our current headquarters location in Columbia, Maryland.

Maryland Blueprint began its rapid expansion in 1989 with the debut of MBC ReproExpress in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the years we have added shops throughout the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

The reprographics industry was transformed in the late 1990's with the advent of digital reproduction equipment and online services. Maryland Blueprint and MBC ReproExpress consolidated under the new name of MBC Precision Imaging in August 1999. Our new name represents our progressive new range of technology services and ushers out obsolete diazo blueprinting.

Today, MBC Precision Imaging provides a broad array of reprographics technologies, online services, digital equipment, supplies and technical consulting to support the architectural, engineering and construction industries.
